Getting Started

Before you book driving lessons you need to have a provisional driving licence. You can apply for your provisional driving licence from the DVLA, you must be at least 15 years and 9 moths old and you must be able to read a number plate from 20 meters away.

Once you have received your provisional licence you may book your driving lessons as long as you are at least 17 years old. Please call Phil on 07401100886 to arrange your first lesson. I will need to check that your driving licence is valid, to do this you will need to get a check code. please visit https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence and follow the instructions. I will then need the check code and the last 8 digits of your driving licence.

There is more to learning to drive than the driving lessons, you will also need to study the Highway Code so you have a better understanding of the rules of the road. This will be tested with the theory test so while you are awaiting your first lesson I recommend that you start studying. You can find a copy of the highway code in all good book shops or it can be viewed online for free https://www.gov.uk/guidance/the-highway-code . You can also practice your theory test by using Theory Test Pro. Once registered with Theory Test Pro I will be able to track your progress and offer help and support to increase your score.
